AIMS & OBJECTIVES OF THE NURSING PROGRAMMES

We believe that nursing is an integral, fast-developing part of the medical profession which maintains its nobility in all respect. We accept as true that nursing personnel who are prepared to give comprehensive nursing care are important members of the health care team.
OBJECTIVES
- To give training in nursing care of patients with all types of diseases.
- To educate them to develop skills to help in the prevention, treatment of diseases, promotion & rehabilitation of health in the community. They carry out these programs in coordination with medical & paramedical personnel.
- To train them to understand the behavioral aspects pertaining to the emotional background, and the physical & mental status of the diseased person.
- To educate them to value the ethical & moral standards involved in the practice of Nursing.
- To keep up the morals of the nursing profession.
- To prepare them to take care of community health in rural areas, through health education & domiciliary nursing care & midwifery.
- To uplift the image of nursing.
- To raise the standard of nursing as a profession.
- To raise awareness of the latest research affecting the health care system.
- To provide a means of community awareness regarding the health care facilities for the prevention of disease and promotion of health.
- Prepare excellent nurse researchers that are a vital requirement in elevating the quality of nursing practice in both hospital and community settings.
